Are you "doing it" at work yet?

Are you “doing it” yet?

Because you should be.

I know you’ve been thinking about it. And I'm here to tell you. It's time.

Time for you to start your very own weight loss competition.

“Who in the world am I going to start a weight loss competition with?”

you're probably thinking now.

Well, you’re in luck, my friend, because I’ve got an answer for that too.

Your work buddies.
Yep. I said it, you are going to start a weight-loss wars competition with your coworkers.

You might be a little bit confused.
Allow me to explain why the workplace is the perfect environment for a weightloss war competition.

Reason #1:

You spend so much time with your co-workers!
Consider the amount of time you spend at work compared to the amount of time you spend with your spouse. It’s probably nauseating if you stop to think about it. Most of us are likely to know our coworkers better than we’d ever like to admit.
Who better to have a competition with than someone that you are forced to see every day?

Reason #2:

In most workplaces, there is a naturally competitive atmosphere. Promotions, projects, and raises all lead us to innately feel competitive around our coworkers.
Why not bump it up a notch with a competition that is actually healthy and productive for everyone?
No one will make you want to win more than that obnoxious guy in the cubicle next to you.

Reason #3:

You’ll feel more responsible for what you eat because your coworkers will be watching your every bite. You can forget chowing down on a huge lunch and no more indulging in late afternoon snacks to get you to 5:00.
Before you know it those pounds will be melting away all because you were too embarrassed to pull out that Snickers bar in front of the coworker you’re competing with.

Reason #4:

You’ll feel more motivated when you have to see the competition every day and how much progress they’ve made. Nothing pushes you more than seeing George over there drop a pant size.
He’s looking better and better every week and that will make you want the same.

Reason #5:

Although this is a competition no doubt, you’ll still be able to help each other along. Having a coworker whom you’re spending 40 hours a week going through the same rollercoaster of frustrations and triumphs will motivate you to keep going when the times get rough. There will be someone constantly there who understands the battle. Not only that, but you can constantly be sharing healthy snack options and exercise routines.
Can it get more perfect than that?
I submit that it cannot!
What are you waiting for?

Convince your work buddies right now and let’s get this working weight loss competition going! Remember, you can lose together or gain alone.
 I say we lose!

About Me

Hi! I'm Bonnie! I spend my days shoving grammar into the heads of sixteen-year-old hoodlums. When not at work, I enjoy flirting with mu husband (which often involves chasing him around our one-bedroom apartment), indulging in a good episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians and painting my toenails. I also love to write, and I am excited about the opportunity to write on the blog here at weight loss wars! I love diet coke, long eyelashes, and Michael Scott. I have intense road rage. Annually I pay hundreds of dollars in speeding and parking tickets. Annually I vow to become a better driver.
